KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a person for allegedly swindling unemployed youths of cash with the promise of getting them the job of security guard in Turkmenistan.
According to Metropolitan Police Crime Division, Harka Bahadur Tamang, 34, of Ramechhap was held from Jorpati on Tuesday.
He had fled after collecting Rs 300,000 each from four persons, promising that they would earn USD 1,200 a month.
MPCD informed that Tamang had also provided fake air ticket to the victims before going out of contact.
